London Victoria station closed and fire engines arrive
Passengers are confronting major disturbance to their journeys to work toward the beginning of today as Victoria station has been evacuated because of a fire alert.
People have presented pictures and videos on Twitter of colossal lines at bolted obstructions from the main rail station prompting the Underground platform.
Fire motors touched base outside the station at around 7 am as suburbanites were advised to leave and have been approached to find alternative routes.
Transport for London has affirmed ‘defective fire gear’ set off an alarm and the station will stay shut until work to fix the issue has been finished.
Travelers revealed hearing flame alerts in the station with many saying it was a ‘flawless begin’ to Monday’s surge hour.

Another tweeted: ‘What happened at Victoria station? We’ve been evacuated, a lot of trucks from London fire brigade, crowds start to be big.’
Sharing an image of colossal groups at the station, one Twitter user cautioned: ‘Don’t go to Victoria Station! Mad busy right now.’
Transport for London stated: ‘Victoria station is currently closed while we respond to a fire alert.
‘Please use alternative routes for now – we’ll keep you updated.’
